LEGAL & SOCIAL SERVICES
We assist victims in understanding their legal rights and options and provide assistance in obtaining legal resources, including protective orders and legal representation. Information, referral, and accompaniment services are available to assist victims in obtaining other needed legal, medical, and social services.
TRANSPORTATION, FOOD, CLOTHING & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Individuals and organizations donate food, clothing and household items to the center. These items are given to clients free of charge. Second hand resale stores are located inside both the main office in Perryton and the Outreach office in Spearman. Items are for sale to the general public, and the proceeds are used to support PCC’s services to clients. Transportation services are provided to clients, and emergency financial assistance is also available to help clients with rent/utilities or medication.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION
We help educate the community by offering free seminars and public speaking engagements to businesses, organizations, churches, or other interested groups on subjects of domestic violence or sexual assault. We also provide educational training with elementary, junior high and high school students on personal safety, bullying, internet safety, domestic violence, dating violence, and sexual assault. EMPLOYMENT TRAINING PROGRAM
Free employment training offered in Ochiltree, Hansford, and Lipscomb counties. The goal of this program is to provide victims of domestic violence with an opportunity for self-sufficiency. The Center offers a variety of clases to assist victims in obtaining the employment skills needed to obtain higher paying jobs. Call 435-5008 and ask for the Employment Coordinator.
SERVICES TO FAMILY VIOLENCE OFFENDERS - BATTERING INTERVENTION & PREVENTION PROGRAMS (BIPP)
Weekly evening classes are available to the violent family member. Individuals desiring help to end their abusive behaviors may attend classes voluntarily or by court-order. Call 435-5008 to schedule an intake. Fees for services are assessed for this program.
COOPERATIVE PARENTING & DIVORCE CLASSES & SUPERVISED VISITATION
A free, weekly Cooperative Parenting & Divorce Class is open to the general public. This class is for separated or divorced parents and provides education on the effects of divorce on children and ways to increase cooperation between the two households for the best interest of the children. The Center also operates a free supervised visitation program for parents who have been ordered by the court to attend.
